We are so happy to introduce you to the glue that holds our kitchen team together, Chef Francois. Francois is our Head Chef here at Kaylee’s, and whilst not traditionally trained in a vegan kitchen, he is a well accomplished chef. His ability to create, process and manage a kitchen have undoubtedly carried over from his experience over the years. From teaching techniques to the team members to developing new dishes with Kaylee, Francois has quickly proven to be a true asset to the team.
Francois started out in the kitchen back in 2005, and has since worked across a wide variety of industries such as lodges, hotels, restaurants and even catering for airlines. When we asked Francois about his experience at Kaylee’s, the dynamic staff, and general atmosphere in both the kitchen and the restaurant are some of the most unique he has experienced. We are so lucky to have him on our team to help guide our kitchen staff.

Chef Francois is the breakfast all day kind of guy, so when we asked him what his favourite dish at Kaylee’s is, he was quick to respond. You will often see him tucking into his favourite breakfast burrito – a toasted tortilla wrap filled with scrambled tofu, spicy vegan chorizo, and refried black beans. Topped with creamy butternut queso, pico de gallo and avo, this makes the perfect dish for any time of the day.
